MY LIFE
Hello, I'm Rebekah Freedom:
Your Relationship Guide
I'm a legacy healer. My grandfather was a doctor. My father was a Chiropractor. My mother was a scholar. With more than 20 years of experience in the healing arts and a Master's degree from the esteemed Naropa University, I am passionate about supporting leaders toward comprehensive well-being.
What makes this life worth it?
It’s the same qualities that make a man or woman legendary:
Trustworthiness
Bravery
Mercy
Determination
Focus
Wonderment
Fascination
Curiosity
Service
Creative expression
Sex…..
And so on.
You were born of an orgasm. So was I. Ultimately the bliss of conception is something we pine after throughout our lifetime.
We feel flickers of this original bliss through moments of inspiration and then by making those visions manifest.
Simply, since this is the “My Story” section of my website, I want you to know that I am not so different than you. I struggle. I’m a work in progress. I feel the weight of societal norms crush my rational cognitions. Life is not, as my uncle would say, “All beer and skittles.” I have plenty of highlight reels that I can access through memory and through what I have posted on social media.
But, those are just moments of reprieve from what I see as the crucible of existence, which is the question:
“Why are we here and what are we going to do with our life?”
Thus far, I’ve wasted much of mine chasing shiny objects. Hence, I’m intimately aware of what catastrophic disappointment feels like. No one believes that once they “get the thing” it could be possible to continue to feel empty and destitute inside.
But, that is a tale as old as time for a reason.
I’ve had the quarter million dollars, a home in one of the richest neighborhoods in America with a 15 minute drive to the beach, I’ve lived in one of the most progressive and beautiful towns in ColoRADo that juts up against a majestic mountain range, and I’ve had the car, the clothes, the circle of influence, and flittered it all away in search of “the next best thing.”
I’ve never been married, had children, or owned property. I was too busy chasing a dream to be “tied down”.
Freedom makes you wander and it opens you to wonder.
Here’s the thing–the money situation that is stressing you out, the lifestyle you are chasing or running from, the humans you call friends, family, or foe don’t matter all that much if you take them for granted.
I did that until something extraordinary happened.
I found myself living in Tennessee and I hated it. I hated the culture. I belittled the people. I was angry at the Bible Belt. I compared it to all the other spectacular places I lived.
But, after a year of working as an addictions counselor in a suboxone clinic, I got sober; not from substances but from illusion.
Each individual has to burn out his own karma and escape from the chains of maya (illusion), reincarnation, and all that.
George Harrison
So, here I am in the primordial ooze of life, made up of a consolation of atoms that comprise the universe, with the awareness,
"I don’t matter, I am matter.”
Therein lies the journey.
The assignment is alignment.
My intention is to be a good steward of my gifts, which include insight, bravery, sequencing energy, authorship, intimacy, and critical thought just to name a few.
My intention is that my gifts be of use to you in that you value their transformational capabilities.
Other than that, we will get to know each other over the time we work together.
Enjoy your time on earth,
Rebekah Freedom
