Our Minds
WHAT IS THE MIND?
Our minds are the the birthplace of thoughts. However, it takes years of practice for our minds to be the seat of awareness.
I worked in managed care on and off for several years. What I recognized is that humans that are in survival cannot be self-aware. We are mostly reactive and operate through our instincts. Further, when in survival, it is impossible to be considerate of others. We are mostly selfish. Allopathic medicine treats people that are locked in survival.
Holistic healing elevates our minds from a place of reactive "overthinking" to a command center. With awareness, we begin to develop a relationship with our bodies in a way that creates two things:
1. The ability to embrace pain as a precursor to growth.
2. The capacity to respond to life rather than react to it.
Between you and me, I hated my job in managed care because, for better or worse, it was a system rooted in fear; pay check to pay check fear, chaotic leadership, sharp shifts, and platitudes that spoke more to the bottom-line than to the individual doing the job.
These environments breed survival but also shine a light on the state of our minds. There is a saying, "As within; so without." Your life is showing you what you think of yourself.
My aim is to change your mind.
Perspective shifts happen in an instant but not over night. To begin your healing journey, we will need to have a conversation. From that conversation we will chart our course together. I do not take insurance because I don't feel it insures quality.
Your level of investment is totally up to you and I will invite you to go beyond your comfort zone.
I'm gong to learn as much from you as you learn from me because I am here to listen as well as guide.
The introductory strategy session is offered to ensure we respect one another as well as to establish a clear path forward.
Space is limited, so if this doesn't inspire a "I really want this", then please allow me to offer you a referral to one of the many talented healers I know.
